Only in Houston! Bingo at SPJST Lodge 88

On Thursday nights, crowds pack Houston’s SPJST Lodge 88, founded in 1910 by members of a Czechoslovakian social club, for 12 games of Bingo. The $10 entry fee includes a bingo pad and you can purchase daubers (to stamp your pad) for $2 – right next to the popcorn stand. Bingo starts at 7 pm but groups arrive early when the doors open at 5:15 pm. It’s a popular spot to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries – they’ll even announce your special occasion on the loudspeaker. The concession stand serves up hot dogs, hamburgers, and frito pies along with pitchers of beer and wine. Be sure to read the Lodge BYOB rules before heading over to this unique clubhouse in the Greater Heights area.

Lodge 88 offers more than just Bingo. My family loves going to dances at the Lodge where there’s plenty of room for two-stepping on their large dance floor. Mark these upcoming festive events at the Lodge on your only-in-Houston calendar!

Plans are underway for the Swim Club at Lodge 88. Members will have access to an aquatic facility with an eight-lane, 25-yard heated lap pool, recreational pool, clubhouse, and more! Please contact me for more information about this exciting development that’s set to open in 2020.

Good luck!
