| The 32nd Annual Houston Art Car Parade is almost here! This celebration of cars and creativity is a full weekend of activities so be sure to mark your calendars and join the fun! Thursday, April 11th Head to Discovery Green and Avenida Houston for the Art Car Sneak Peek from 6pm to 10pm. This family friendly preview is a great way to get up close and personal with the art cars, while enjoying the Party on the Plaza’s live music, kids’ activities, and food trucks. Friday, April 12th The Legendary Art Car Ball officially kicks off the weekend. Get you tickets and costumes ready for a rambunctious evening of music, dancing, costume contests, and a whole lot more entertainment. Saturday, April 13th Arrive early for the Lineup Party starting at 11 am along Allen Parkway. The Kids Creative Zone is open from 11 am to 2 pm at Sam Houston Park, where kids of all ages can discover their inner artist with hands-on projects and a program of live music and performances. The Main Event starts at 2pm as the cars roll down the parade route from downtown around City Hall and along Allen Parkway. There’s lots of choice spots to set up with your portable chairs and cooler to watch the colorful caravan, with gift shops, restrooms and beverage stations dotted along the parade route. Keep the festive spirit going and head over to St. Arnold’s Breweryfor the official artist After Party.
