Fourth of July Celebrations

At Why I Love Houston Properties, we’re flying the stars and stripes high and gearing up for backyard bbqs as July 4th is just two days away! Here’s a list of Independence Day celebrations around the city from parades to fireworks.

Memorial Villages Independence Festival: It’s a schedule full of fun kicking off with a 5k Fun Run at 8.45 am, followed promptly by the parade at 9 am. The party continues as the parade arrives at the festival grounds, where the whole family can enjoy musical entertainment, face painting, and even pony rides. The fanfare ends at 1 pm with the tradition of the neighborhood ladder truck spraying water over the crowds to cool everyone down.

Bellaire Fourth of July Parade & Festival: Start your holiday at Bellaire Town Square where the local parade rolls at 9.30 am. Family friendly activities continue at the free festival in nearby Loftin Park from 10 am-1 pm featuring carnival games, live music, and a petting zoo.

Lindale Park Parade: The Lindale Park Civic Club is hosting its 20th annual 4th of July Parade along Irvington Boulevard from Eleanor to Gale streets starting at 10 am.

Freedom Over Texas: American country music star, Jake Owen, headlines the city’s annual patriotic festivities at Eleanor Tinsley Park along Buffalo Bayou from 4 pm-10 pm. The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the nighttime sky. If you prefer to avoid the crowds, the banks of White Oak Bayou also provide an excellent view of the display.

Happy Fourth of July!
