Mother’s Day Events

This picture of my Mom, Grandma, and two sons always puts a smile on my face. I’m blessed to have these two incredible women as role models in my motherhood journey. I’m looking forward to all of us celebrating Mother’s Day together this Sunday, May 12th. If you are looking for ways to spoil the mother-figure in your life, check out these fun activities this weekend.

For one-of-a-kind gifts, stop by one of the many pop-up shopping experiences happening around the city. On Saturday, May 11th from 11 am to 6 pm, the Heights Mercantile Mother’s Day Market will host local artists and vendors on the promenade, in addition to their resident retail shops. Peruse handmade decor, jewelry, and accessories while enjoying a glass of wine during the Asher Gallery’s special weekend Mother’s Day Sale in the lobby of the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft from 10 am to 5 pm. Treat mom to brunch and shopping at Revival Market, Market: A Mother’s Day Event on Sunday, May 12th from 10 am to 4 pm.

Make it a full day and pair lunch or dinner with one these special outings on Sunday, May 12th. Stroll the gorgeous gardens at Bayou Bend where mothers and grandmothers are honored with free admission and complimentary lemonade and cookies from 1 to 5 pm Sunday. For sports fans, head to Minute Maid Park when the Houston Astros take on the Texas Rangers Sunday at 1.10 pm. The annual Mother’s Day Serenade at the Wortham Center Sunday evening features an array of music from the Houston Latin American Philharmonic at 6.30 pm.

Hug your mom!
