Celebrate Houston’s street art scene inside a pop-up gallery featuring the work of local muralists. Founder Julie Grey launched Playhaus HTX, located in the EaDo neighborhood, to celebrate the city’s art scene that’s not hung on museum walls. Make sure your smartphone is fully charged because this colorful exhibition encourages you to strike a pose against the artful backdrops. Bringing accessories and costumes is even encouraged. The immersive experience includes themed rooms full of pillows, balls, and balloons plus installations by mother and son muralists, Donkee Mom and Donkee Boy. There’s also a soft-serve ice cream bar on site making Playhaus a perfect summer treat!
