- Stages got its start in the Magnolia Ballroom but it now calls The Gordy home – an amazing three-theater venue. Stages kicks off their season with Macgyver the Musical – a rock and roll take on the 1980s tv series.
- The Ensemble Theatre, founded in 1976, is the oldest, professional African-American theatre in the Southwest. The 2022 lineup includes The Lawsons, a commissioned world premiere set in Houston’s Third Ward.
- Main Street Theater celebrates its 46th year with a variety of plays at their Rice Village location, plus shows for the younger set at MATCH, including a production based on the children’s book, Dragons Love Tacos.
- Kinder HSPVA is a great place to catch a rising star. The high school’s annual Black History Month production is Dreamgirls which runs February 17-20th.
Enjoy!
