Ironworks: East End’s Newest Destination

The historic Cameron Iron Works building is once again buzzing with activity. This unique mixed-use space is one of the latest arrivals of restaurants, bars, shops, and shared workspaces popping up around Houston’s East End.

Located on Milby Street, just two blocks from the METRORail Green Line along Harrisburg Blvd., the refurbished 1930s brick building features polished cement floors, exposed steel trusses, and roughly 5,700 window panes flooding the 60,000 square-foot space with natural light. Over 20 shipping containers have been uniquely arranged to create space for coffee shops, retail, and offices.

Stop in for a coffee at Segundo Coffee Lab, where you can sip your beverage at one of the several tables or couches in the common area, or browse the vintage and maker shops selling everything from old-school jerseys to hand-made jewelry. Other tenants include a salon, an insurance agency, and architectural advisors.

With pop-up markets, crawfish boils, and other weekend events, Ironworks will be your favorite new destination in the East End.

Happy Exploring!
